Basic Leader training is for all adults providing the scouting program to our Boy Scouts (Scoutmasters, Troop Committee Members,
Assistant leaders) and Cub Scouts (Cubmasters, Den Leaders, Webelos Leaders, Pack Committee Members, and Assistant Leaders).
All Scout leaders are required to attend training.  These sessions include Youth Protection, Essentials, and Leader Specific Training.

OUTDOOR TRAINING: 2007

May 11 & 12       (Fri-Sat)  Arrive between 6 and 7 pm Friday evening     $12 covers 3 meals.

Classes begin when all participants are set up.  Breakfast is at 8 am Saturday morning.  Classes end around 6 pm on Saturday
evening.  Meals are part of the cooking skills class.

Equipment needed: Tent, personal overnight needs, Boy Scout leaders need to bring a compass.  Yard chairs are essential.
Flashlights and lanterns are great.

$12 for food covers Friday evening, breakfast on Saturday morning, and lunch on Saturday afternoon.  We use many styles of cooking for
these meals.

Who should attend: Baloo training is for Cub Scout leaders, Webelos Leader Outdoor is for Webelos Leaders, and Boy Scout Outdoor is
for Boy Scout Leaders or those who will be crossing over to these positions.  Activities taught in these trainings may be used to vary
even the den meetings.  All leaders should attend outdoor training regardless of position because of Two Deep leadership
requirements.  This is an excellent place to build ideas for upcoming activities.

Please contact Conness Cooper to pre-register at 417-776-3952 or
scout-conness@excite.com.  This is essential to make sure there
is enough food and supplies for all participants.
